Job Title: Sr. Research Scientist - R & D
Purpose of Job
The Process Development Scientist is responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing bioprocesses involving various chromatographic and filtration techniques. The role supports the development of scalable, cost-effective, and regulatory-compliant purification processes, including data evaluation and documentation.
Skill Required

Strong hands-on expertise in chromatography and filtration techniques.

Proficiency with JMP or similar DoE/statistical tools.

Knowledge of cGMP and regulatory guidelines for bioprocess development.

Experience in SAP and laboratory inventory systems.

Roles and Responsibilites

Process Development & Execution
-
Develop and optimize downstream processes using ion-exchange, affinity, hydrophobic interaction chromatography, and filtration methods such as tangential flow filtration (TFF), depth filtration, and virus filtration.

Plan and execute experiments to support scale-up and technology transfer.

Design of Experiments (DoE)
-
Apply statistical tools such as JMP software to design experiments and evaluate critical process parameters (CPPs) and quality attributes.

Feasibility & Costing
-
Conduct process costing and feasibility evaluations to determine commercial viability and operational scalability of the developed processes.

Documentation & Compliance
-
Prepare, review, and maintain comprehensive documentation including protocols, reports, and process development records.

Ensure data integrity and adherence to internal and regulatory documentation standards.

SAP & Inventory Management
-
Perform SAP-related activities including material requests, consumption tracking, and stock maintenance for process consumables and lab supplies.

Training & Mentorship
-
Provide technical training and mentorship to new team members and trainees in process development techniques and lab best practices.

Scientific Contribution
-
Contribute to scientific literature and knowledge sharing, including authoring publications.

Notably, authored the review paper “Insights into the Purification of C1 Esterase Inhibitor from Human Plasma” published in Plasmatology.

Qualification Required
M.Sc./M.Tech in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or related fields
