Job Description: 

Purpose of Job

The Executive – Training & Development is responsible for planning, organising, coordinating, delivering, and monitoring capability-building initiatives for field sales teams. The role ensures scientific accuracy, compliance and alignment with the organizational development goals. The incumbent will support onboarding, product training, soft‑skills training, LMS management, and evaluation of training effectiveness.

Roles and Responsibilites

A. Training Delivery

  • Conduct classroom, on‑the‑job, virtual, and field coaching sessions.
  • Deliver training programs on:
    • Product knowledge & pharmacology
    • Therapy areas
    • Selling skills & objection handling
    • Compliance and ethics
  • Facilitate role‑plays, assessments, and workshops.

B. Field Training & Capability Building

  • Partner with Sales Leadership to:
    • Identify skill gaps
    • Conduct field visits & coaching
    • Reinforce product messaging and execution standards
  • Provide feedback and coach MRs to improve field performance.

C. Evaluation & MIS

  • Evaluate training effectiveness using Kirkpatrick model or internal competency frameworks (L1 & L2).
  • Maintain training dashboards, attendance reports, assessment scores, and certification records.
  • Measure ROI on training interventions and prepare monthly/quarterly MIS.

D. Learning Systems Management

  • Manage LMS (Learning Management System):
    • Upload courses
    • Drive digital adoption
    • Track completion
    • Generate analytics

E. Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Medical Affairs, Sales, Marketing, and HR teams to ensure alignment in content and training strategy.
  • Support medical accuracy and review of promotional materials when required.

Relevant skills / Industry experience

    • At least 1 years of experience in Training & Development within the pharmaceutical industry
    • Prior experience as MR or First Line Manager is an added advantage

Relevant professional / Educational background

B.Pharm/Masters in Pharmacology
