Purpose of Job

Associate Scientist- Process Analytics (R&D)

Skill Required

Skills required for Execution of analytical tests, Colorimetric/Spectrophotometric assays (BCA, Bradford, OD280nm etc), Chromatographic test (HPLC, UHPLC/UPLC- SEC, IEX, RP, HIC etc.), Electrophoresis test (IEF, SDS-PAGE, Western, Capillary Electrophoresis), and compilation of analytical data with minimal supervision.

Roles and Responsibilites

  • To work on new methods for early stage molecules and to improve the existing methods to support high throughput techniques.
  • Follows GLP practices and assists supervisor in maintaining lab practices.
  • Responsible for maintaining and ensuring GLP practices.
  • Response to DQA observations and closure of reports as part of GDP and compliance.
  • Preparation of SOP’s, DMOA’s, protocols, drafts reports, presentations and documents related to projects and instruments and its related activities.
  • Independently executes experiments, derives interpretation and conclusion of results on time. Plans daily work, records and reviews results and documents.
  • To take responsibility that application of Data Integrity requirements and potential consequences for not following it are understood and followed.
  • Performs instrument in-charge duties for the allocated instruments and be responsible for the timely calibration and maintenance of the same. Ensures resources are in stock. Assists supervisor in planning, evaluating and implementing lab procedures and systems.
  • Prepares presentations and documents related to projects and various scientific activities as delegated.
  • Any other responsibility assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification Required

M.Sc./M.Tech.in - Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or equivalent

Relevant skills / Industry experience

5-8 years of Experience

Relevant professional / Educational background

Any other requirements (If any)
