Job Description: 

Purpose of Job

To support cell line development activities for biotherapeutic product development by performing molecular biology and cell culture experiments. The role contributes to gene cloning, vector construction, transfection, clone screening, and optimization, while maintaining high scientific and documentation standards in compliance with GLP and GDP.

Skill Required

  • Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques: cloning, plasmid prep, bacterial transformation, and vector design.

  • Practical knowledge of mammalian cell culture, transfection techniques, and clone screening strategies.

  • Understanding of early-stage product characterization techniques and media optimization.

  • Strong documentation and compliance mindset with familiarity in GLP/GDP standards.

  • Ability to troubleshoot experimental issues and adapt protocols as needed.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills; ability to coordinate within a cross-functional research setting.

Roles and Responsibilites

  • Perform molecular biology tasks including gene cloning, cDNA synthesis, plasmid preparation, bacterial culture handling, and buffer preparation with minimal supervision.

  • Conduct cell culture activities such as transfection, minipool generation, cell cloning, clone characterization, and media optimization using platform processes and modern techniques.

  • Support early product characterization aligned with the cell line development plan.

  • Develop and implement new methods and assays to enhance clone development, molecular biology, protein biology techniques, and analytical capabilities.

  • Manage lab inventory, perform equipment maintenance, and ensure overall lab upkeep with proper documentation.

  • Create and review function-specific SOPs, ensuring strict compliance with SOPs, GLP, GDP, and timely, accurate recording and review of data in laboratory notebooks.
