QC Laboratory Analyst

Role: Full-time, permanent contract

Location: Schimatari, Greece (free company bus provided from Athens)

Working Shift Hours: Monday – Friday 07:30 – 15:30 or 13.30-21.30

The Role

e’re seeking a meticulous and methodical QC Laboratory Analyst to develop the testing, analysis and release of our products. In this dynamic role, you’ll work closely with other departments to support our production requirements and to plan the timely release of our product batches, closely adhering to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), instructions and industry requirements (e.g. health & safety standards, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)). Working across a broad range of products, you’ll have the opportunity to learn and use a range of test methods (e.g. HPLC, FTIR, UV/VIS and GC), supported by full on-the-job training.

All testing is conducted to meet MHRA and GMP compliance standards and as such you will ensure processes and instructions are followed closely and that accurate records and documents are maintained at all times. You will also support in the daily calibration, monitoring and verification checks of the laboratory equipment and systems to troubleshoot issues and minimise downtime. As we continue to grow our Schimatari site and establish our laboratories, you have a rare opportunity to join our team from the beginning, make a real difference from the start and get involved with development projects as we continue to expand.

The Person

  • Experience in a similar role within a pharmaceutical GMP compliant analytical lab would be beneficial, with a good knowledge of EU quality regulations and GMP/GDP Guidelines.
  • With an interest in science, you’ll have an analytical mind, a good level of numeracy and literacy and the ability to use data and reports to help inform decisions.
  • Experience of conducting self-inspections, quality based investigations and change control processes would be advantageous.
  • Able to work towards deadlines even in a fast-paced and changeable environment.
  • Keen eye for detail, with a methodical and analytical approach to work.
  • Confident multi-tasking, decisive thinking and driven to reach results in set timeframes.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and spoken English
  • Degree level qualification in a life science discipline
