The Role

We’re seeking a driven and charismatic Project Manager to  support Operations and Engineering teams with Project Management specialist guidance in the Development and Implementation of CAPEX projects.

You'll develop and implement major Engineering CAPEX projects aligned to site development, refurbishment and equipment replacement strategies and Lead Project Engineers and Project Teams in the execution of approved projects to ensure Projects are delivered to agreed time, cost, EHS and quality parameters

Your role will include:

  • Provide Project Management leadership to Operational and Engineering project teams in the development and execution of CAPEX projects.
  • Preparation of Feasibility Studies (FS) and Front End Engineering (FED) design options
  • Liaison with Suppliers and consultants in development of innovative solutions
  • Take lead on interpretation of client’s requirements and development of specifications.
  • Analysis of design options and preparation of costed proposals
  • Development of CAPEX CER / CRC documentation to corporate requirements
  • Lead Engineering and Operations specialists in execution and delivery of approved projects  to agreed time, cost and quality parameters
  • Development of appropriate Stage and Gate documentation to support Projects through delivery lifecycle
  • Ensuring all projects are formally managed to site Engineering Project Management standards and aligned to site and ISPE  PM and GEP Good Practice guides
  • Preparation and maintenance of formal Project control Logs (where required) including Risks and Issue Management
  • Liaison with QA and Operations in the development and implementation of appropriate Commissioning, Qualification, Validation (where required) and training plans.
  • Liaison with Purchasing and Finance teams to ensure Business governance systems are observed.
  • Preparation and maintenance of formal Project plans for all projects

 

The Person

  • Ability to Project Management of CAPEX projects through project Stage and Gate Lifecycle
  • Ability to Project Manage the development and delivery of a Major project through a formal Project Stage and Gate Lifecycle approach
  • Leadership of Project Engineers, Consultants and Contractors in developing technically appropriate and deliverable project proposals.
  • Successful influencing of sponsors and stakeholders in addressing and removing Project road Blocks
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work with minimum supervision and to Lead by example
  • Communicate with the adequate balance of diplomacy and firmness to secure commitment of all stakeholders to expected deliveries.
  • Project Management experience
  • Led Project teams in a manufacturing site development Projects
  • GxP experience in a “Clean and Controlled” industry (Pharma / Food / FMCG etc)
  • Computer literate for standard Microsoft Office suite.
  • Use of Project Management tools including MS project
  • Use of CAD tools including AUTOCAD latest version.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with Peers, Consultants and suppliers
  • Preparation and Presentation of Reports and strategies
  • Experience of MHRA / FDA regulated environments
  • Validation systems awareness
  • Experience in HVAC systems and BMS architecture.
  • Engineering qualification education University level MEng or MSc.
  • Project Management training and qualification to Intermediate level.
  • State Licenses for electrical and mechanical qualifications.
  • Broad accounting knowledge
