The Role
We’re seeking a methodical and detail-focussed Packaging Supervisor to take responsibility for initiating, managing and coordinating the operation of the packaging department to achieve the daily target, the smooth and quality operation of the packaging lines and to be responsible for packaging team performance and success. To ensure a high level of accuracy in work, he proposes corrective, and improvement actions related to packaging processes and develops, updates and reviews company processes (SOPs), contributing to the desired compliance with the requirements of GMP, ISO standards, and state law.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the smooth operation of the packaging lines according to the timelines.
- Developing standard operating procedures for the packaging department to ensure efficient operations.
- Organize the daily Operations per Work Center. Execute the agreed daily Packaging Plan for all lines. Meet the daily Target Production. Achieve the Target KPIs in daily, monthly and yearly basis.
- Develops, updates and reviews company processes (SOPs), contributing to the desired compliance with the requirements of GMP, ISO standards, customers, and state law.
- Ensuring that all packaging materials are stored properly and safely to prevent damage or spoilage.
- Ensure compliance with all cGMP standards, safety, and environmental regulations and company SOPs.
- Utilize continuous improvement techniques to drive performance improvements and eliminate losses in packaging processes, line performance, and team performance.
- Provide necessary business and technical leadership in the development and implementation of packaging processes and procedures to enhance productivity and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Responsible for packaging team performance and success. Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of packaging staff to enhance their skills.
- Propose corrective and improvement actions related to packaging processes.
The Person
- Bachelor Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineer/Mechanical Engineer.
- 3-4 years of Packaging supervisory experience in a Pharmaceutical Industry.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- SAP experience.
- Good understanding of European Regulatory requirements.
- Experience managing Continuous Improvement through manufacturing metrics will be considered an asset.
- Strong leadership and team management skills guide and mentor staff effectively in a dynamic working environment.
- Strong organisation skills, able to manage multiple tasks to deadline, in a busy and changeable work environment, whilst maintain a good eye for detail.
- Excellent communication skills (in written and spoken English), able to liaise with all levels of authority appropriately and navigate cultural differences with ease.
- Good problem solver, able to think on your feet with incomplete information.
- Naturally curious, keen to learn and process-driven, with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Able to work on own initiative, but also as part of a collaborative team.
