The Role
A Qualified Person (QP) is responsible for assuring the quality of medicines. That’s why it’s important that QPs are rigorously trained, with an in-depth understanding of pharmaceutical manufacture. QPs are legally responsible for certifying batches of medicinal products before they’re used in clinical trials or available on the market.
We’re seeking a Trainee QP to join our growing QA team here at Fawdon. With a scientific degree and background, you will be committed to developing your pharmaceutical knowledge by undertaking a recognised training programme to become a Qualified Person.
Once qualified you will assist the team to ensure current and future EU/UK GMDP requirements are met and that an effective Pharmaceutical Quality system is maintained and ensure continuously improving GMDP standards at the Fawdon facility.
You will build in house know how, capacity and capability within the quality team to support business growth and help support a common Quality Culture and Accord everyday business behaviours to support collaborative working relationships between operations and quality functions.
The Person
- Candidates must have a Biology, Chemistry, or Pharmacy related degree, and be eligible for membership of either the Royal Society of Biology, Royal Society of Chemistry, or the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
- You will have a broad understanding and/ or (preferably) practical experience of Pharmaceutical Quality and are looking to continue to develop your career in a key role.
- Committed to training period 3-4 years dependent on background and experience
