Site Services Electrician

Role: Full time, Permanent

Location: Fawdon, Newcastle upon Tyne

Salary: Competitive + bonus + benefits

The Role

Reporting to the Site Electrical Engineer, you will ensure the continued operation of the site by ensuring facilities equipment is electrically safe and well maintained. To ensure that all work is performed in full compliance with GMP, SOPs, FDA, MHRA, work instructions and relevant safety standards.

  • Has technical expertise and specialist skills, provides advice and support to others in own area.
  • Troubleshoots basic problems and liaises within own and other departments to resolve issues successfully.
  • Supports continuous improvement process and ensures successful implementation of agreed changes.
  • May act as a departmental representative in meetings.
  • Supports in company and external audits, conducts risk assessments and works to ensure compliance across the site.
  • Promotes teamwork, motivates, coaches and supports others.
  • Ensures that GMP & EHS requirements are always followed.
  • Will be assigned to tasks requiring a good level of competence and skill where appropriate completion will result in effective and safe operations on site.

The Person

 

  • Qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with Industrial wiring, lighting and distribution systems.
  • Experience changing and programming of Inverters desirable. Danfoss, ABB etc.
  • Knowledge of cGMP, cGDP would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Desirable – Compex 5 & 6
  • Desirable –18th Edition Wiring regulations, City and Guilds qualification.
  • Desirable –2391 Inspection and Testing, City and Guilds qualification.
  • Has up to date knowledge of regulatory, legal and HSE requirements relevant to their function
