Location: Munich / On-site (3 days per week)

The Role

As a Accountant (Senior), you will ensure that our financial records are accurate, reliable, and transparent. Acting as the central point of contact for all accounting-related matters, you will work closely with our Accounting Manager while benefiting from the support of our Headquarters in London and the Finance Team of our parent company in India. Your contribution creates trust and reliability every day.

 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Accurately process and record all day-to-day accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank postings, general ledger activities, and payment processing.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and sub-ledgers to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
  • Monitor provisions, taxes, and payroll-related accounting entries as part of effective cash management.
  • Support the Accounting Manager throughout the monthly group closing process with your expertise and attention to detail.
  • Work closely with external partners to help ensure that all tax obligations, including VAT filings, are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies arising from annual financial statements, internal audits, and tax audits.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and independently implement efficiency-enhancing measures.

The Person

Your Profile

 

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Taxation, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in a comparable accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes.
  • High level of commitment and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
  • Analytical thinking, strong technical skills, and a high affinity for numbers.
  • Solid knowledge of German tax regulations and the German Commercial Code (HGB); knowledge of IFRS is required.
  • Confident user of SAP.
  • Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
