Senior Accountant Germany

Role: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Munich, Germany

Die Rolle

We’re seeking a driven and organised Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Munich, Germany and take responsibility for the local accounting processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Daily accounting and accurate booking of AP, AR, banks, general ledger entries, payments
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and subledgers
• Ensure correct booking and maintains balances for accruals, tax and salary
• Support the Accounting Manager during monthly consolidated process
• Liaise with external providers to ensure timely submission and payment of VAT and other tax
• Investigate and resolve year-end, internal and tax audits findings and issues of non-compliance
• Proposes and implements optimization of financial processes and procedures

Die Person

• Considerable amount of experience in a similar role in a fast paced international environment
• Full understanding of accounting principles
• Strong knowledge of tax laws, IFRS and HGB
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or similar
• Working knowledge of SAP or any major ERP
• German and English fluent
