Quality Assurance Manager

Role: Full-time, permanent

Location: Salzburg, Austria

The Role

We’re hiring a Quality Assurance Manager in Salzburg to  be the key authority ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and maintaining high-quality standards in wholesale operations.

The position holder will act as the primary contact for quality-related matters, overseeing compliance, risk management, and operational integrity. He/she is responsible for the execution of specified quality concepts, ensuring adherence to Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

This role documents all processes, audits, and corrective actions, ensuring full traceability and regulatory compliance. The tasks are divided into the following key areas: document administration, warehouse, complaint and recall, interaction with stakeholders.

The Person

  • Substantial relevant professional and pharmaceutical experience
  • Ability to work in a pressurized, complex and fast-moving environment, and to contribute effectively to team working situations and group discussions
  • Excellent proven track record in scenario planning, report writing and impactful presentation skills at all levels
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in both written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confidence liaising with all levels of authority, can navigate cultural differences with ease
  • Highly organized with excellent organizational and time management skills; high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in medicine, Natural Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related field.
  • Experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and pharmaceutical wholesale, ideally with exposure to GMP/GDP requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of national and international pharmaceutical regulations (ICH GCP, GDP, AMG) and relevant quality management systems.
