Working Hours: Day Shift Monday – Friday (08:00 – 16:30) 1 hour lunch
The Role
We’re seeking a meticulous and methodical Senior QC Analyst to join our Raw Materials team in our friendly laboratory department, you’ll safely retrieve your samples and conduct relevant tests against your assigned products, taking guidance from the product’s specification notes and closely adhering to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), instructions and industry requirements (e.g. Health & Safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and ALCOA data integrity principles). Working across a broad range of products, you’ll undertake a range of test methods (e.g. HPLC, GC, UV, dissolution, TLC, titration, FTIR, Particle size) completing the required paperwork and updating our company systems to record your observations. In addition, you will report any process deviations in order to generate accurate information and ensure our testing remains safe and compliant. You’ll also have the opportunity to support our Team Leaders with lower-level diagnostic investigations, product transfer activities and shadow more advanced tests and analytical work to enhance your on-going training and development.

The Person
· Previous experience of working in laboratory environments with experience in laboratory techniques (e.g. HPLC, GC, UV, dissolution, TLC, titration, FTIR, Particle size).
· With an interest in science, you’ll have an analytical mind, a good level of numeracy and literacy and the ability to use data and reports to help inform decisions.
· Well organised, you manage your own work area and workload to meet deadlines and are flexible to adapt to changing priorities.
· With strong communication skills, you work well in teams and can navigate cultural differences with ease.
· Taking a methodical approach to your work, you follow instructions and rules closely, appreciate the need to work safely and have a high attention to detail.
· As a proactive individual, you’re keen to learn, always arrive with potential solutions and enjoy thinking creatively where problem solving is involved.
· A-level qualifications (or equivalent) in a STEM subject (preferably science or Chemistry) is essential for this role, however significant relevant experience would also be considered.
· We can only accept applications for those aged 18 and over for work in our Quality Control laboratories.
