Key Account Manager – Pharmaceuticals – Lombardia

Role: Full-time, permanent

Location: Field Based – Lombardia

The Role

We have a great opportunity for an ambitious and customer focused Key Account Manager to join our Italian Sales Team in Lombardia, to promote our hospital products in prostate cancer. Overseeing the region, you’ll contribute to the achievements of our business objectives trough medical scientific information and by defining and implementing an access strategy at local account level and contributing at regional level. You’ll build and maintain long term relationships and engage with specialists, including physicians and pharmacists, to make sure the best environment is built and with fast access for the patient to the healthcare system.

Daily, you’ll maintain and update our customer database, continuously develop your knowledge on disease areas and products, and conduct regular market analysis to predict and anticipate any potential changes and assess their impact.

In addition, you’ll collaborate with the wider business functions to optimize and continuously improve the results of market penetration.

The flexibility for regular travel through the territory is essential for this role.

The Person

  • Previous experience in Oncology is mandatory.
  • Previous sales experience in pharmaceutical sector with a familiarity across a range of treatment areas (oncology: mandatory - rheumatology and osteoporosis: preferable)
  • Previous experience in access process at local and regional level in assigned territories is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical skills – able to analyse and make sense of data.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and maintain relationships at all levels and build effective internal and external networks with key stakeholders and influencers (e.g., KOLs, Hospital sector).
  • Excellent organisational skills – able to thrive in a fast-paced ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in Italian spoken and written.
  • Intermediate English for both written and verbal communication (preferable)
  • Educated to degree level in a scientific subject (e.g., pharmacy, Biotechnology, chemistry, ecc.): mandatory.
  • Availability to travel.
  • Holding of driving licence.
