Key Account Manager (KAM) Oncology
Role: Full-time, permanent
Location: Milan (Field Based) Italy

The Role

The KAM is pivotal in supporting the launch and commercial planning, execution, and operational rollout of the oncology assets across their defined territory. She/he will be the commercial point of contact for all customers across the defined territory, utilizing an omnichannel approach to manage them accordingly.
- Promote Accord’s products and increase disease awareness in line with the approved promotional material amongst onco hospitals, HCPs and stakeholders within his/her territory, in respect of the local regulations, industry code of conduct, as well as company values and procedures
- Consistently achieve assigned sales target , with focus HCPs in top Tier key accounts and centres of expertise.
- Track and manage performance according to budget and business plan objectives
- Develop, lead and execute the local territory plan with specific goals and targets across the territory and be the local owner of high priority key account plans
- Collaborate closely with market access functions to ensure patients can access therapy at the local level
- Encourage an insight driven culture where customer insights, data, dashboards, and CRM tools are used to guide effective business decisions, allowing strategic development and tactical implementation to remain relevant, meaningful, and commercially advantageous.
- Create a high-performance cross functional team environment based on alignment with a common values and vision based on a foundation of trust and respect
- Maintain exceptional knowledge of the customer, disease states, competitive products and the broader healthcare marketplace
- Work collaboratively on with the local field based medical team, regional market access team, tender manager, marketing and all other functions.
- Shares experience with other regions and management team
- Be the key point of contact for all customers / centres within the region and be accountable for the success of the product in the assigned territory
- Establish and maintain quality and trustful contacts within the relevant medical community, opinion leaders etc. Organize group meetings in hospitals, using approved promotional materials.
- Analyse sales evolution in the territory and support the development of forecasts
- Able to integrate multi-channel approach to drive commercial success in his/her territory.
The Person
- Qualifications: pharmacy, biotechnology, biology, chemistry or similar.
- Previous experience in Uro-oncology (mandatory)
- Master/Bachelor's degree in economics, policies sciences, pharmacy, life sciences or related field
- 5+ years previous sales / Key Account Manager, mandatory with experience in prostate cancer (mandatory) and lung cancer (preferred)
- Previous drug launch experience in oncology or high value specialty medicine
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic and customers and patients oriented
- Business/Commercial orientation/acumen
- Entrepreneurial Attitude
- Strong customer focus: demonstrated ability of creating win-win partnerships
- Good communication and strategic thinking skills
- Good analytical and market intelligence skills: identify growth opportunities and segment the accounts in the respective territories
- Ability to drive projects forward work on own initiative and work with a cross functional team
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional matrix
- Intermediate or advanced spoken and written English
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office in particular word, excel and power point
- Strong drive and desire for success, result-orientated with proactive cross-functional collaborative approach
