Tender Manager Germany
Role: Permanent Full Time
Location: Munich, Germany
The Role
We’re seeking an experienced and driven Tender Manager to join our team in Munich and manage the entire tender process from the initial proposal, through submission, to post-submission response. Your main objective is to ensure all tenders are winning bids, meeting the company’s standards and client requirements while maximizing profitability.
Your day to day activities will include:
- Manage and oversee the entire tender process from start to finish.
- Coordinate with various departments to gather all necessary documentation and information for tender submissions.
- Review and analyze tender documentation and contract conditions.
- You are responsible for market screening and preparing negotiations for all health insurance contracts (open house)
- Offer calculation taking into account the respective tendering strategy/tactics
- Conducting and evaluating market exploration discussions with payers, including transfer to new contracts or preparation of further strategic decisions
- Processing exclusive tenders and ensuring timely submission and formal completeness in accordance with internal process specifications
- Preparation of cost-benefit analyses and review of the profitability of discount contracts, including recommendations for action to managers and BU directors
- Mainly responsible for health insurance discounts from tenders and their impact (budget, forecast and preclose) in the planning process
- Review and settlement of discount agreements with health insurance companies in accordance with §130a SBGV
- Independent calculation and reconciliation of monthly provisions for health insurance discounts
- Collaboration in cross-departmental projects
The Person
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or many years of professional experience in a comparable position in the life science environment, consulting, etc.
- A degree in economics or natural sciences, public health, health economics, law with relevant professional experience in the field of market access and pricing in the pharmaceutical industry or specialized consulting companies
- Alternatively, you have completed comparable training with relevant professional experience in a comparable role
- You are familiar with the topic of discount agreements (exclusive and open house) from the perspective of an original manufacturer and generics manufacturers
- Very good knowledge of supply structures and the legal framework for the reimbursement of medicines
- You have experience in price negotiations for pharmaceuticals
- You have a good knowledge of social legislation, but in particular of SGB V
- Reliable contacts to relevant regional and national stakeholders are an advantage
- Your strength lies in understanding numbers and complex issues - you can even communicate these in a simple and understandable way
- Experience Gx/Biosimilars/Originator products
- Experienced in pricing strategies
- Fluent German and English is a must
