The Role
We are looking for an experienced individual with the passion and leadership capabilities to make a difference. You will be expected to take full responsibility for your business and given autonomy to develop your portfolio through engagement with key primary and secondary care decision makers, building appropriate business relationships that enable you to achieve your objectives through collaborative projects that align system, patient and Accord priorities.
To be successful, the role requires individuals to maximise access and adoption at a local level, develop and bring together urology key opinion leaders, primary care stakeholders including GP clinical directors and medicines optimisation leads to add value to the local health economy and their patients through tailored educational meetings.
A deep understanding of the evolving NHS and funding flows applicable to locally commissioned medicines is required along with the ability to map and understand the role key stakeholders play in relation to influencing, decision making and funding of medicines across the healthcare system.
We are looking for strategic thinkers with strong commercial acumen that have an ability to work cross functionally and develop strategic account plans that foster long term partnerships with NHS stakeholders.
The Person
Essential:
- Must be ABPI qualified
- educated to degree level ideally in life science/business related degree
- Has significant experience in a branded role working across primary and secondary care
Development of Strategic Account Plans
- Developing and executing strategic account plans for maximising territory sales
- Commercially astute - Analyse disease area market data and infer insights to guide your priority focus and monitor performance
- Demonstrate leadership by owning and driving your strategic plan, directing resources appropriately to deliver business objectives.
- Build intimate knowledge of the account stakeholders’ priorities, processes, business needs, drivers, and barriers for product utilisation.
- Ensures all activities agreed within the plan are implemented to completion and progress is continually reviewed.
- To manage territory budget and other internal resources effectively.
Business Relationship Management of Key Accounts
- Establish effective relationships with clinical customers, ensuring customers are supported, opportunities are identified, and solutions implemented.
- Effectively communicate scientific data and support in developing national and local opinion leaders
- Plan and manage speaker meetings from start to finish including speaker briefing, budget management, delivery and follow-up in a compliant and professional manner
- Effectively drive business in areas of positive market access
- Form strategic relationships with stakeholders across primary and secondary care
- Ability to tailor your calls to customer segments and share insights and knowledge with internal colleagues
- Optimise post formulary pull through in defined healthcare systems by delivering on collaborative projects which align system, patient and Accord priorities.
Effective Internal Relationship Management
- Build and maintain effective business relationships across a wide range of Accord functions including sales, market access, marketing, and senior management ensuring appropriate internal resource is actioned to provide the accounts with expert support as needed.
- To attend seminars, congresses, exhibitions, or meetings as directed by the national sales manager or marketing team
- Input into commercial strategy for urology brands
