Commercial Assistant

Role: Full-time, permanent (part-time 80% is also considered)

Location: Office Based, Utrecht

The Role

We’re seeking a hands on and organised Commercial Assistant to support the commercial department and essentially the Commercial Managers. As part of your job, you’ll ensure continuous availability of the most actual insights to optimize the commercial-decision making processes, (among others the business development and portfolio selection, pricing optimization, and volume monitoring and demand planning). Using your excellent analytical skills, you’ll develop and execute high quality reports and analysis by using multiple data sources and prepare commercial offers and tenders for hospitals, health insurers, wholesalers and purchasing combinations. You’ll process claim invoices and take responsibility for the price- and contract administration with regards to commercial accounts. Finally, you’ll contribute to ad-hoc commercial questions in the daily operation by cooperating with multiple departments (i.e supply chain, customer service, quality)

The Person

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of software packages such as MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Work experience performing market and data analysis / market research would be a strong plus
  • Good interpersonal and time management skills
  • Excellent analytical skills – ability to make sense of large amount of data and present your findings
  • Good communication skills and very good spoken and written English and fluent Dutch
  • Excellent organisational skills – able to thrive in a fast-paced ambiguous environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education (economics or business administration would be a plus)
