The Role

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner you will ensure accurate and compliant accounting processes by overseeing financial operations, supporting junior team members, and maintaining alignment with Czech and Slovak accounting standards. The role contributes to the integrity of financial data, supports internal and external reporting, and collaborates closely with auditors, tax advisors, and the Finance Business Partner to deliver reliable financial insights and continuous process improvements

Duties will include:

• Ensuring the review and verification of accounting entries prepared by Junior Accountant, with emphasis on accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal guidelines and legislative requirements.
• Providing methodological support and professional guidance to less experienced colleagues.
• Managing and regularly reconciling general ledger accounts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting data.
• Ensuring compliance of accounting operations with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations in the Czech Republic.
• Posting of closing entries (monthly/yearly).
• Preparing documentation for monthly and annual financial closings.
• Actively cooperating with auditors and tax advisors during reviews and audits.
• Coordinating and communicating with the external accounting firm in Slovakia regarding the branch office.
• Reviewing accounting outputs of the Slovak branch office.
• Preparing regular financial and management reports for the Slovak branch for company management.

The Person

• Holding a master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
• Demonstrable experience in Accounting department
• Knowledge of business accounting and VAT
• Advanced level of English for effective communication
• Proficiency in MS Office, in particular Excel
• Professional experience of working in SAP environment would be an asset
• Excellent numerical and spreadsheet skills
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Responsibility, attention to detail, and accuracy
• Willingness to develop in accounting and taxes
• Ability to manage priorities
• Strong problem-solving attitude
• Conscientiousness, reliability and very good organization of work
• Communicability, openness, ability to work in a group
