Account Manager Urology / Pneumology

Role: Full-time, permanent

Location: Belgium - East of Flanders (Antwerpen/Limburg/Vlaams Brabant)

The Role

Reporting to the Sales Manager Speciality Brands, the Account Manager Oncology / Urology has for primary objective to engage in clinical detailing activities aimed at promoting and educating prescribers and influencers about our SB portfolio.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to introduce the new product to specialists (Urologists, Pneumologists, Oncologists and Radiotherapists)
  • Build corporate and brand awareness to customers/stakeholders by developing and maintaining strong relationships with them.
  • Effectively negotiate and influence key stakeholders within the relevant area. 
  • Develop and deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders to showcase the benefits of the new products
  • Attend national/International conferences or other industry events to promote our company and network with potential clients
  • Identify and develop KOL to positively influence and advocate the customers within your territory. 
  • Collaborate closely with hospital colleagues to maximise cross sales and with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launch and ongoing sales growth (Medical, Marketing, Management)
  • To maximise sales of the Accord SB portfolio, increase market share and achieve target sales in year to achieve the overall budget as planned for the financial year through clinical detailing of designated products to relevant prescribers. 
  • Manage for the sales and budget for these products in territory and report directly on their performance to the line manager. 
  • Develop excellent product/market knowledge on all products within the portfolio, disease areas and competitors. 
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to identify areas for improvement and growth
  • Report on performance and take any corrective actions where needed
  • Create and continue verification of a specific data base of key hospitals, consultants and pharmacists within territory. 

The Person

  • Bachelor's degree in in life sciences, business, marketing or related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or account management, preferably in hospital environment with a knowledge of concerned Therapeutic areas
  • Experience of biologic/biosimilar therapies as well as an understanding of the therapeutic context including the competitor landscape. 
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing client accounts
  • Strong communication, negotiation, customer orientation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to make decisions within pressurised and stressful situations. 
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time. 
  • Flexible, organised with high levels of planning and organisation 
  • Ability to work as part of a team / in cross functional teams as well as being self-motivated. 
  • Willingness to take initiative and become directly involved in planning, problem solving and execution of work in a team environment. 
  • Continuously expanding product and marketing knowledge 
  • Dutch speaker ideally with excellent oral and written English skills
  • Existing relationships and appointments with key customers are highly desirable.
